Why Homeowners Choose This Service

Stop Water at the Source
Exterior drainage intercepts groundwater and surface runoff before it reaches your foundation walls. Unlike interior systems that manage water after it enters, exterior drainage addresses the problem at its origin -- the most effective and permanent approach to water management around your New Jersey home.
Prevent Basement Flooding
New Jersey averages 47 inches of rainfall annually, with nor'easters and summer thunderstorms delivering heavy volumes in short periods. A properly engineered drainage system captures and channels this water away from your foundation, keeping your basement dry during even the most severe weather events.
Eliminate Yard Erosion
Uncontrolled water flow strips topsoil, undermines walkways, and damages landscaping. Our drainage systems include strategically placed catch basins, channel drains, and discharge points that manage water velocity and volume, preserving your yard's integrity and preventing costly erosion damage.
Comply with Stormwater Regulations
New Jersey municipalities enforce strict stormwater management ordinances governing how water is discharged from your property. Our drainage designs account for local municipal codes, NJDEP requirements, and impervious coverage rules, ensuring your system is fully compliant and avoids potential violations.
Protect Your Property Investment
Homes with documented, professionally installed drainage systems command higher resale values and pass home inspections with confidence. Proper drainage prevents the foundation damage, mold growth, and landscape deterioration that can reduce your property's marketability and value.
Integrated System Design
We engineer a complete drainage solution combining French drains, surface grading corrections, downspout extensions, catch basins, and channel drains into one integrated system. Every component works together to manage water from the moment it hits your property to the point it is safely discharged.

Our Proven Process

  1. 1

    Property Drainage Assessment & Design

We conduct a thorough survey of your property's grading, soil composition, downspout locations, impervious surfaces, and natural water flow patterns. Using this data, we identify every area where water collects or flows toward your foundation and design a comprehensive drainage layout specifying drain type, pipe sizing, grade, catch basin placement, and discharge points -- all in compliance with your municipality's stormwater management requirements.

  2. 2

    Excavation & Drain Installation

Our crew excavates drainage trenches to the specified depth and grade, installs perforated drainage pipe surrounded by clean washed stone wrapped in filter fabric to prevent clogging, and connects all components to the discharge system. French drains are installed at footing depth along the foundation perimeter, while catch basins and channel drains are placed at surface water collection points throughout the yard. Downspout extensions are routed underground to discharge at least ten feet from the foundation.

  3. 3

Grading Correction & Surface Water Management

We re-grade all disturbed areas and correct any negative slope conditions that allow surface water to flow toward your foundation. The finished grade ensures a minimum six-inch drop over the first ten feet from your foundation walls in all directions. Swales and berms are shaped as needed to direct surface water into the drainage system's collection points.

  4. 4

    Backfill, Restoration & System Testing

Trenches are backfilled with proper drainage stone topped with topsoil and seed or sod to restore your landscape. We flow-test the entire system to verify proper drainage rates, confirm that all discharge points are functioning, and ensure no standing water remains. You receive a system layout diagram, maintenance guidelines, and warranty documentation for the complete installation.
